Dear AWE members,
We are almost half way through our Crowdfunding campaign for the Australasian Women in Emergencies (AWE) Network and we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from members and non-members. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated so far – we greatly appreciate your contributions and look forward to showing what AWE can do with your support.
However we still have a way to go to reach our target. If you haven’t donated yet you can do so here. Please also share the link with your friends, colleagues and networks and ask them to show their support by donating.
We ask all members to help AWE fulfil its ambition to promote, support and develop the contributions of women in emergency management and disaster resilience, and we encourage you to help generate support and contributions.
Your financial support will help AWE set up:
- A new mentoring program to support members at different career stages
- More scheduled events that bring us together to connect and learn
- An upgraded AWE website to be the central hub of our network – complete with a member directory, chapter pages, event and mentoring info, a resource library, blogs, news, forums and more.
Building and developing the AWE network is a responsibility that belongs to us all, and we encourage all of you to advocate for and endorse AWE’s cause.
